Blog Time.

December 25, 2009

Greetings Iditarod fans!!

Thanks to everyone who has purchased a shirt in support of my Iditarod race.  As weird as it is for me to write a blog, I think it will be the best way for everyone to follow along with the progress. Bear with me.

Right now I’m sitting at the parents house in St. Louis, and all I’m thinking about is the dogs I should be running. The break is nice though; have to admit that.  The fall and beginning of winter have been very busy dividing my time between my young team and the older race dogs who are on track to win with Jeff.  The puppy team has been loving the 35 miles runs around kennel on sleds, and we’ve able to do quite a few camping trips out to the Susitna River.  Last week the yearlings completed their longest days of the year doing 80 miles in 12 hours.  Needless to say, things are progressing well.

My plan is to post some pictures of training when I get back home to Alaska, and also introduce you to the team.  I’ll tell you right now I’m going to have some future all-stars out there with me…Opel, Spider, Hopper, and Coltraine are ready to lead the way to Nome.

More to come soon…gotta get to dinner.  Grilled shrimp and crab is hittin’ the table.

Thanks again for everyone’s support!
